Heller expanded: right to carry outside the home

Yes and no way does the SCOUTUS take this case. It's already been addressed recently and I believe they will cede to the 7th's decision.

Wouldn't that also de facto make all "may issue" states become "shall issue"?

Yes and no way does the SCOUTUS take this case. It's already been addressed recently and I believe they will cede to the 7th's decision,. Remember gang, the SC doesn't take every cause that's appealed to it.

While they don't take every case, in most cases where federal courts have decided similar cases differently, they tend to take a test case to fix that.  With the NY case saying there is no right to carry a weapon outside your home, and the IL cases saying there is a right, it's unlikely that SCOTUS will not review one of these cases and make standard case law across the entire country.

It might take 2 more years for a case to get to SCOTUS but I suspect it will happen next year.

That's a good article. Thanks, MacGyver. :D

I'm beginning to wonder about the federal courts. Obamacare is allowed by SCOTUS, 2nd becomes a right, more and more,

which is a recent phenomenon. Kind of a contradiction making me think something is concerning the judges more than

something I can't wrap my mind around.

My favorite quote from the opinion was, " " A man's home may be his castle, but when he goes out, the Constitution goes with him."
