Easy. It's a cardboard tube with a UPS label on it and capped with duct tape. They're used for shipping long objects.

You guys got it. Its a 4 ft piece of 1/4" x 1.5" 1084 steel from New Jersey Steel baron. Half of it is going into a set of bowies for a member here, and the other half is going into 3-4 smaller tacticool projects with to much paracord. This is actually order number to, this project has been set back by several things, including a wrong order that ended up being 1/8th thick steel, not heavy enough for what I needed. Ah well, the build will continue on time

I looked over my shoulder to that tube behind me that some tool steel came and made my guess.
Been playing myself. Wish I had the patience and endurance to make a knife. That's cool! I get stuff
to make my own tools if I can't find one cheap enough. Snap-On and others ain't cheap and I'm a tightwad.
