New England Handi-Rifle rear sight?

I just traded for a New England/H&R Handi-Rifle in 45-70. The gun came with the scope rail installed as well as the front sight. The rear sight had been removed and had tap covers or whatever you call them (screws) installed. I am looking to replace the rear sight with either the original or something adjustable for elevation and possibly windage but I am not familiar with different types of rifle sights. Also the manual shows about 5 different part numbers that all have some type of sight type. If anyone own one of these please help me shed some light on this. Thanks!
