Hello folks - just found y'all after some web surfing for a new gun. Relatively new to TN - been here about 3 years after a 27 year career in the USCG. Grew up on the Carolina outer banks & spent most of my adult life on both coasts & at sea, but came to mid-TN to get away from major population centers. I'm now a professional agrarian, married & raising our 6 children to be good TN citizens, giving them an understanding of the 10th amend, etc. (Oh yes, 2nd amend too!)

Into reloading, hunting, ccw; carry a Glock 30 or J-frame airweight. Battle rifle is the M1 Garand, backed up by my son on the Noveske AR15. Farm defense is the Benelli SuperNova Tactical. Favorite hunting rifles are all levers ... took a nice 6 point with the .35 Rem last week. Have a favorite bolt gun - my Weatherby in 7mm-08 (a dandy little round!) Love my assortment of revolvers ... great to teach the kids with. (My daughter loves the flame coming out of the .44 mag.) Oh - I shouldn't forget the Red Ryder ... giving another one this Christmas season for our next firearm trainee

Glad to have found this site. I'll be spending some time here researching the TN gun laws ... I carry so know the basics, but still trying to figure out why our generally conservative state can't get traction on Constitutional carry.
