Im a 1911 fan through and through. Wife has been mentioning a semi-auto. She has the .38 Bodyguard. So anyway, I decided to get her one for one of her Christmas presents. I am aware if you get in a situation carrying a 1911, you better know how to apply immediate action. It may never, ever fail, but there could be that one time, and I dont want to be gone and something happen only to find out a gun I gave her malfunctioned and she couldnt do anything. So, I had to swallow my 1911 pride and get her something I am almost sure is going to go bang every time she pulls the trigger. So here it is.

Glock 17, Gen. 4. Got it on the LEO/MIL program for $230 less than retail. She doesnt know about it yet, dying to show her but am going to wait until Christmas eve.

Not pride swallowing. Reasonable thinking, and good judgment. Good for you, and for her. You did very well!

Second that thought.

Yup, no matter how much you like 1911, when it comes to your wife have to get one that both fits her hands and that she links. Now after you give it to her, both of you need to spend some quality time sending lead down range.
