I love the show, many have mention already no fowl language an a Christian belief. My daughter and always try to watch it together it's one of the few shows we can enjoy. I try to get home A A S A Please as Si would say to see it with her. The oldest son Adam who is not on the show is a preach, total of 4 sons.

watched it last night for the first time and I am hooked. I love the fact that it is a clean show and they have a prayer at the end of the show. I knew of these guys before the show came on and think it is awesome that a family of millionaires can have a non Kardashian type show.

For my birthday, my wife bought me The Duck Commander Family book.  I just finished it, and I highly recommend it.  I truly like the show and the book is very informative about their history.  I can relate to many of thier stories, and its very refreshing to have a good solid family oriented tv show.  I know their shows on A&E are produced, but after reading their book, I am not so sure its produced that well after-all.

My sons absolutely love this show.  The oldest watches it with his daughter and wife.  I just don't watch TV but I may have to at least make an exception for this.

I dont have cable or sattelite or even a computer, well if you dont count my phone. Its all by choice. Anyways, I have never seen the show but have watched clips on youtube and it seems interesting. I dont know anyones names but in one clip one of the older guys was complaining about the younger ones always on their phones and it was pretty funny. Even while hunting one of their phones would go off and he looked pi&&ed. Its true though, and I feel the same way he does. My phone is my one connection to the social media world but if I lost it tomorow I wouldnt even think much of it.

Saw some pics of these guys clean shaven, also 1 episode where Chase's wife was very happy at the thought of them shaving their beards. Anyone know when they decided to grow the beards ? Did the just grow them for the show ? I assume the did since it does seem contrived most of the time. Still fun to watch.

A beard that size would take months if not years to grow out like that. I doubt they did them for the show.

In the book, there are some pictures of Willie in around 2006, and he was just starting to grow the beard and hair.  Phil and Si on the other hand have had beards for years, a little darker.  Phil's Duck Commander hunting videos from the late 80s, he had a beard then.

From what I have read the boys used to grow the beards just for hunting season but because of the filming schedule they now keep them year round. Oldest brother Alan is clean shaven but doesn't appear on the show. Producers were aprehensive about showing him because they were afraid it would take away some of the Duck Hunter mystique.

Wife and I tried to watch it one night based on all the rave reviews from friends. We couldn't take more than 15 minutes. Absolutely one of the worst shows I've ever seen.

I was in a meeting with my boss a few days ago and heard "Happy Happy Happy" coming from his pocket.  Fell over laughing when he said it's his ringtone.  I think the show is great and have watched all of the old episodes on On Demand.  I hear there is not yet an agreement on whether there will be a 4th season because the Robinson's are asking for large pay increases.

I was in a large meeting with executives and professionals last week in Cleveland, OH, and somehow happy, happy, happy came up, and for 5 minutes everyone in the room was talking about Si, Phil and Willie.  Someone had met one of them or something.  It was great!   This show is bigger hit I think than most know.  Me personally, I rank it #2 only to Andy Griffith.

The wife and I both love the show. We have not missed a one and you never know what to expect of Si. It's one of the clean shows with morals. It also shows some of the traditional old ways vice some of the more modern ways. The whole family has it going on.

My 9 year old son and I was able to attend an event not far from home this weekend, Jeb, Jessica, John Luke and Sadie was at the Eastanalle Baptist Church in Riceville (10 miles south of Athens).   All I can say is outstanding, great Christian Testimony, and just a class act!  I think about 1,000 people were there and it was sold out.  Highly recommend attending one of these events.   They did give some hints for the upcoming new season, expect to see Alan.

Here is a link to Duck Dynasty events, there are several in Tennessee and adjoining states:
