Duck Dynasty, Do You Watch?

This show makes me happy, happy, happy.

Is it me, or is this one of the best tv shows on tv now adays. I just discovered this show a few months ago on A&E, and all I can say is everyone is happy, happy, happy. That is some of the best commedy I have seen in awhile that I can relate to. Its great for the family too, no cursing, full of laughs, helpful quotes, and always ends with a dinner prayer. I use to only watch NCIS each week, but now I have to watch equally NCIS and Duck Dynasty. Got to love Si, especially the Christmas episode the other night and his comments as an elf to the kids. That was way too funny. I think I may grow me one of those bushy beards, hope my employer does not mind.

It's about the only thing that I make a point to sit down and watch each week and is about the only thing the wife and I enjoy watching together. It's refreshing to see "reality TV" about a family with morals and scruples. Very nice contrast to pretty much everything else on TV. When was the last time there was something on TV that didn't have, cursing, sex, drugs, violence, etc. and was actually successful?

Also interesting factoid, Phil, the father was a QB for Louisiana Tech, Terry Bradshaw was his backup QB. All of the Robertson's except one have college degrees and many of them have post graduate degrees. I'll let you guess which one didn't get their degree.

It seems a bit contrived but i still DVR every episode. These are my kind of people. We need more TV programs with respectable family values, less MTV and Honey Boo Boo.

I believe it is a bit contrived, in every way but with the things that come out of Si's mouth. That dude is awesome.

We are completely addicted. Phil inspires me to be a better husband and father. I love that my wife, duaghter and myself can all sit down and enjoy a show with no worries of any of us being embarrassed but what comes out. That being said I do believe the show is made up somewhat of re-enactments of previous envents in thier lives.

Love that show. Best episode bar none was when Si went to career day and taught the 1st graders that freedom int free.

It's obviously scripted but I think a bit less than other reality shows.

My favorite show on TV now! I'm about 1 month in to my Duck Dynasty beard. I have vowed to be a guest on the show one day but I doubt it will ever happen without a tribute beard.

When I 1st saw it, I thought "this is the dumbest show ever". I still think it is the dumbest show ever, but I am hooked. Don't let the beards fool you, they are geniuses.

Saw some pics of these guys clean shaven, also 1 episode where Chase's wife was very happy at the thought of them shaving their beards. Anyone know when they decided to grow the beards ? Did the just grow them for the show ? I assume the did since it does seem contrived most of the time. Still fun to watch.
