Recommended Posts

The stages are up at ORSAAP.com so you gamers can start gaming (remember Santa is watching). Click on the uspsa logo to find the button for the stages. http://www.orsaap.com/USPSA%20page.htm

It will be 6 joyous stages, about 165 rounds this month. Come on down and relieve some of that holiday stress. Edited by 2Alpha

points/time=hit factor(hf)

the shooter with the highest hit factor on a given stage wins the stage, and all of the available points.

all of the other hit factors for that stage are calculated as a percentage of the winning hit factor, and they receive that percentage of the available points for that stage. whoever has the most points for the match wins.

simple, right?

And you can further break this down to High Over All, Division (production/open/revo) and Class ( D C B A M GM)   depending on how you look at it. Some like to win over all, some like to win their Division over all or just their Class..................because a Class C shooter in Production has no shot at winning HOA against open guns.

Hi Rickey,  I understand your question - How did I do?  When you are the only one in the division, you finished first ......but you also finished last so it is difficult to judge how you did.  I looked at you score for the classifier stage - 4 Bill, and you had a hit factor of 3.59 (very nice).  How you score on the classifiers is how you are ranked.  With the classifiers, USPSA has accumulated a lot of data from a lot of shooters.  Based on this historical data the "maximum" hit factor for a particular stage, or 100% hit factor is determined.  Then your hit factor for that stage is compared to the max to get your percentage.

GMs are 95-100%

Masters are 85-94.9%

A  is 75-84.9%

B is 60-74.9%

C is 40-59.9%

D is 2-39.9%

go to http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-faq-details.php for more info

Now how did you do?  your hit factor would have put you at about 58%, or a high C

I Hope this helps.  Soon we should have the scores posted at orsaap.com, and there we will have all the divisions combined which will also give you a handle on how you did, though shooting a revolver puts you at a slight disadvantage.

You have to determine what your hit factor was for 4 Bill (Number 08-01), then using the link that DaG posted, using the appropriate division you shot in, look up 08-01 and enter your hit factor.  It will then show what your Percentage is for that classifier.
