I would love to see this pass Michigan Senate and be signed by thier Governor. If Michigan follows through with this, which state will be next? It would be a huge step in taking back what is being destroyed by the Federal Gooberment. Edited by ArmyVeteran37214

Is this the stir around their capitol building right now, with the union thugs wanting to riot?

Good news! Especially for that blue state.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe they also have a "Right to Work" state thing going on.

Something along these lines is our only hope.

I also heard on the news this morning that 1 state has legalized marijuana. Putting aside opinions on the use of marijuana, it is a step in the right direction for state for states rights, nullification and upholding the 10th Amendment.
Thanks! That was what I heard about on the radio this afternoon. I didn't hear about the nullification thing.
That would be a good thing to see a flurry of activity in about thirty five or more states. It would be the right thing to
see.

2 States have by popular vote and the feds and drug cartels aren't too happy about it.
(Just like the Arizona immigration law.) - So much for states rights..

Obama administration considering ways to overturn marijuana legalization in Washington and Colorado
Since voters in Washington and Colorado opted on Election Day to legalize small amounts of marijuana for recreational use, the Department of Justice has been relatively quiet over how it will handle what is likely to become a heated debate regarding states’ rights. In an article published by The New York Times this week, reporter Charlie Savage says senior White House and Justice Department officials are already attempting to tackle how to handle the new marijuana laws, and are amid deliberations right now that will determine when, where and how national law enforcement can intervene.

Never had any use for the stuff, but here's the thing. When they wanted prohibition of alcohol, it required a constitutional amendment to give the fedgov the power.
What changed, exactly? It isn't something I am particularly happy about, but it is a small step in the right direction.

It will be interesting to see if the state interposes itself between the feds and its citizens as they should and indeed have the obligation to do.

We will see if the principles of '98 prevail.
