How not to ship ammo

I ordered 1,500 rounds of 22lr ammo from CheaperThanDirt.com

I have always been pleased with the price and shipping, but this is just careless crap. They put 2 of these 500 round boxes on their sides. Of course they spilled out. My wife told me I had a package that sounded like it contained a bunch of small rocks. It was loose ammo rolling around inside. Check out the picture.

Lame.

DD, for sure that is annoying but it's about 2 minutes of minor effort to pour them back into the boxes. You're definitely correct in that they should've shipped it with a little bit more TLC. Good thing the box didn't rip.

I put my 22's in larger containers anyways so this would have been easier for me. At least they were all the same kind. I would have been upset had they been different.

I haven't called them yet but they should at least eat the shipping costs. I had to sit there counting rounds because I wanted the correct amount in each box.

Called them. They credited back the $15 that I paid for shipping. Nice of them to make it right.

I had this happen to me with Midwayusa on some wolf match .22's and they said "our bad. keep the ammo and we'll send you a new order free" Sweet! Glad they took care of your shipping though.

Yikes! A few small pieces of tape, 5 additional seconds of handling, and some packing peanuts would have gone a LONG way!

They are "Cheaper than Dirt", so tape is extra.

Shouldn't you pay extra? They did half the unpacking for you.

CTD, but they make up for it in shipping and handling costs.  For what they normally charge for S&H they should of at least refunded the handling......cause all they did was ship.
