I doubt Sumlin is better than Saban. I was certainly being sarcastic.

I'll be the first to say I'm not super excited about Butch, and am not confident in his ability to beat Bama. But I think he will have some level of success. Certainly a step up from Dooley.

I doubt he is, either, but I never expected the success he has already seen at ATM. He could turn out to be the best coach in history, hard to say at this point.

We'll see, I'm not convinced. He's ridden Kelly's coat-tails to this point, we'll see how he does in a MUCH tougher conference when he's not inheriting a solid foundation, but has to rebuild it. I suspect in three or so years Tennessee will be doing this again...

True true. But to his credit. Kelly's last year was a heavy loaded Junior and Senior class. And Butch managed to be successful after that.
