Cheapest (quality) place to build an AK locally?

I'm thinking inside the areas of Chattanoga, Nashville, and Knoxville? Coal Creek Armory just quoted me $250, but I'm sure there are other places out there. I would think about doing it myself but I'd need to buy the tools, and have the time to do it (which I don't).

Thanks for any info.

There's an outfit close to Knoxville that is supposedly a top notch builder. Can't remember the name and I'm sure they're not the cheapest.

Maybe someone will come along with the name.

All right! This is cool, I actually have a gunsmith-specific question about this build and it would be nice to get his opinion on it in the "Ask the Smith" section.

Okay, so they need an email from my ISP to register there, which I don't have through my apartment building (they set it up and include it with the rent, so I don't even know who the carrier is), so there goes that. Edited by Jon_L

Call Troy at InRange. He usually answers the phone and will give you an honest opinion. He also responds very quickly to PM'S on theakforum.com. He has a vendor section there.
Troy is as good as they come in the AK world.
