Just got this DVD in the mail from the Garand Collectors Association. Nice surprise; I didn’t expect it.

Very good documentary on the Garand plus a few examples of special rifles.

Medal of Honor recipient Hector Cafferata is in the documentary, don’t miss that full interview in the bonus material.

I use the GCA for my club qualifications for CMP. The magazine they put out to members is also pretty informative.

That is good news! I just joined last month and read about the DVD in my first mailed issue. I suspect we newer members might not get the mailing til a bit later.

Joined while at the CMP South Store. A great day, a slow thursday, and got some nice "pointing in the right direction" from Leon. Sprang for a Springfield Service Grade Special. Circa 1955, ME 1 TE 2.

DaveTn, I just got my copy from the mailbox today! Looking forward to firing it up on the Tely this evening.
Kudos to the GCA for capturing first hand experiences from some of the remaining veterans.

We are fortunate this piece of engineering genious and WWII history is still availablle thanks to the CMP.

Years ago the ole Garand first intimidated me but intimidation quickly faded and great respect remains.
