No, but certainly makes sense as far as resold guns. Hell, I'd be surprised if it wasn't 75% or more. But obviously, no accurate stats can exist for private sales.

I still think we'll see the end to all private sales ere long, and maybe before BHO leaves office.

Unfortunately, I think you are right.

Hardly - in his own words he said he does back down from his remarks on Sunday.

Costas abuse of facts and tendency towards hyperbole prevents him from
Being any sort of honest broker in Amy discussion on this matter.

I found t very interesting that he uses the exact same words in his aurora interview as this recent episode. "military style artillery" "body armor". " culture of guns"
He does back off his comments on Sunday, but then, he immediately repeats the same talking points.

Progressively over the last few years I've found listening to Costas to be more & more discordant. The majority of the times I've heard him speak it has not been in panel commentary but rather while I was visually paying attention to some event and he was background chatter. In hindsight, I suppose it has been verbal leakage of his leftist ideologies that I never really tuned into that was flavoring the narration of what I was seeing, at the time I just felt he was too flowery and emotive despite his notable timbre. Now I can simply flip my listening switch when I hear him start speaking again like when Sam Donaldson hemorrhages his propaganda. Edited by zapfbroad

Ever heard that saying about people might think that you are stupid if you don't say anything, or you can open your mouth and remove all doubt. I think that applies to Mr. Costas here. Stick to Football Bob, leave the guns to us.

When the restaurant carry bill was being voted on, how many times did we hear that "guns and alcohol don't mix!"? But when someone gets drunk, gets behind the wheel of a car and then kills someone, do we ever hear that "cars and alcohol don't mix!"? I know I don't.

I mean, God forbid the thought of banning alcohol or automobiles, which are just as deadly as a gun in the wrong hands, but we gotta ban all the guns! That'll do it!! :shake:

I wonder how long it took the marketing people at NBC to convince an write that little pony show for Costas on Orieley. I promise you they set that up because of the backlash they got from the Sunday night speech.

This really puts this car thing into perspective doesn't it? For me I just really have to draw the line at automatic transmissions. Nobody really needs one of those and they are so dangerous because they make it easier for stupid people to learn how to drive. If NFL players were not allowed to drive cars Jerry Brown would still be with us today.
