Love it!!! I can't wait to hear a range report. I really like the checkered grips.

What is a good inexpensive holster for a Ruger Blackhawk in 4 5/8" barrel? I don't really want a western style, but I would like leather. I'd like to keep it around $30 if possible.

Hunter or Triple K.

Ruger sells a Triple K with logo for it, but it's $42 and out of stock right now. If you register a Ruger gun onsite, no matter when you got it, you get a web coupon for 20% off in the Ruger Store.

Look on Sportsman's Guide and CTD for various cowboy gun holsters, too.

Likely at next gunshow you can get a 15-20 buck nylon one that "might suffice" from the lady that runs the booth near the door who sells all the cheap holsters, gun cases, webbing and whatnot.

I will be sure to check her out, OS! Thanks for the info! That is the type of holster I am looking for. The cowboy holsters are bit too flamboyant for me. I wouldn't mind a cross draw though.

Mikegideon, that is a great looking pistol there!

Thanks. They have a pretty good holster selection in the Midway site. Not all cowboy style...

You might dig through the boxes of used holsters at your local gun store or at tables at gunshows. $30 won't buy the material for a decent leather holster, let alone a finished product.

I may have to get me a Greg holster, if I can talk him into it.

Poor weenie to you, kind sir!!! A 100 rounds of Remington .357 125gr SJHP was $50! That was what I was originally going for. I've got a bunch of 38 brass. Plan on buying some bullets and primers and getting a friend to reload them for me.

Looking at .357 rifles on Gunbroker now!!! This is getting expensive!!!

Here's a feeble picture. Turns out that Able didn't really have the gun in stock, so in a panic, I hit the Bass Pro. They have them on sale right now, even tho it doesn't show on their web site. The guy at the counter didn't even know they had them, and had to dig it out of the back room. Able was cool about the order cancellation.

I paid a little more money, but didn't want to get caught up in the Obama frenzy and wind up with NO gun. The picture doesn't do it justice. Nice shootin' iron!

So that's the same Uberti "Cattleman El Patron", in .45 Colt, right?

Looks sweet for sure.

Well, I shot it. Shoots great as expected. The black powder rounds are a hoot. Sure am glad we don't have to use that stuff every day. The gun is nasty.
