I have no idea what to think about this new FEMA youth Army.

I find that word "collectively" somewhat disturbing.

Youth army? Loosen the tinfoil.
I guess I am totally naive. I am not worrying about Obama's youth army.

The link to the website the OP lists raised lots of red flags to me. I did a simple google search of FEMA corp. Found this right near the top.

Hair raising stuff here

You're full of something else if you believe Factcheck.org. Or, it sounded like the truth, anyway, huh? :D

I have heard Fox news reference factcheck.org. Heard it after every debate when they cited factcheck over things Romney claimed.

Just because they aren't verifying what you want to believe does not make it less truthful.

I have a hard time believing that you 6.8 are drawn into it based on the link in the original post.

I gotta trust my Occams razor instinct here.

I also believe 2A is about all the Homeland Security we need here.

I'm not drawn into anything, ole boy. The words I used came from the horse's
mouth, from the very beginning.

And because Fox used that website's
name as a reference doesn't hide where
that site's roots and intentions are.

Drawn into exactly what?

Our founding fathers warned us to always be vigilant against government tyranny, and it seems that we've not heeded their warnings and have our heads still in the sand or some where else.

I believe it was in 2007 that our beloved President said that he wanted a one million man private army besides the military and local law enforcement personnel. The TSA or his youth corps may just be the beginnings of that private army. Edited by ThePunisher

If it's a "youth army" we should fear, I guess we should also be scared of the army, navy, air force and marines? I don't have the figures, but I suspect a majority of our servicemembers are between the ages of 18 and 24.

drawn into that it is a threat.

I dunno, I guess I don't get it. The website the OP linked too sort of made me wonder WTF, how do reasonable people buy into this.

I can't go off the deep end with you guys. Gotta stop reading these types of threads. I can't go through life thinking everyone is out to get me, even if I am paranoid.

and to add, I think some here see tyranny in the Salvation Army. I think this quote sums it up nicely

This isn't going off the deep end, Mike, but he is doing things under the guise of "protecting" us that are very reminscent
of when Hitler came to power. It doesn't take any imagination at all to see where this president is going with his policies.

Wait until you get slapped upside the head and see what the little dungshirts will do in the event of an executive order
banning guns, or something else. What did DaveTN say? Youth Army? They are adults and they have been educated
just like Hitler Youth, courtesy of our educational system. And this Youth Army is only further endoctrination into what
he really wants instead of a standing army.

I warned about this before the first election, I think. He said he wanted this before he said he said he was going to
"fundamentally transform" this country, which was also what he said the day before the first election.

Slow tyranny is the kind you don't actually see until you open your damned eyes and start looking. And, if this is so tinfoil,
why the Hell do you think people have bought so many guns in the last four years?

You're also right about Occam's Razor. The best answer is usually the simplest one. This one has been out in front of
you, all along, but you didn't see it.

I don't know about the Mayan calendar, or Nostradamus, something else entirely, but I do know something about human
nature and have reflected enough about my life on this planet and everything that has happened in that time, that we are
allowing this to happen, and are being punished, all because of our own mistakes and arrogance. We are going to pay a
huge price for that, also, and after the internet is gone, and we are separated from communicating with one another, you
will start to see what it is like to have to live back in the colonial days of this country, once again. Warning messages have
been out there in plain sight for too long, now, just most people won't admit it.

You don't really have to read the Bible to understand this. Just a good history book or two could have given the clues to
us. We harp so much and deny what is right in front of us, that we don't understand the bullet that's heading straight for
our heads. This stuff has happened before and we are falling for it, all over again.

And, as for Israel, they will defend themselves, solely because they believe in something this country had, and lost. Their
actions will spill over to us as soon as it begins and we will not know what hit us. Israel was punished once before. They
learned their lesson. Most of us didn't show up for class, that day. They will do what they have to do.

You stand in denial. I think I see it for what it is. The dungshirts are only one more symptom to the disease.

Call it tinfoil all you want. I just don't see the humor in it.

I don't know why I open these threads either. I guess I find humor in how people can be suckered into reading obviously biased news articles and accept them as fact. Drawing comparisons to Hitler Youth with the 18-24 year-olds? As posted before, never-mind the fact that 90% of our military enlistees fall within this age group. A paid standing army? They are all volunteers. Then the obligatory photos of scary military vehicles, which have nothing to do with the Citizen Corps. Also a reference to the DHS ammo purchase controversy which has been debunked over and over since first posted by Infowars a few months ago. Maybe I won't find it so funny when these paranoid types start shooting letter carriers delivering Christmas packages this season, under the belief they are really government agents attempting a home invasion. I find it humorous, as well. People will believe what they want to believe, regardless of fact. Some people see government conspiracies in everything. There are the 9/11 Truthers, FEMA campers, Birthers, and now we have the FEMA/DHS/Hitler Youth Corps-whatever-you-want-to-call-it-to-make-it-seem-more-nefarious bull#### to look forward to. A while back, some poor sap on TGO posted a satirical video by The Onion, and was all up in arms because he thought it was real. It was on the internet, and it fit his conspiracy delusions, so it must have been true. I got a wonderful laugh out of that one.

Edit: Reading the article again, I get a good laugh at his reference to the "backward" USA flag on these evil FEMA vehicles. The author is so ignorant, he doesn't even understand the regulations about displaying the US Flag on vehicles/uniforms. Ignorance is bliss, at least for him. I wonder what he says about the way the flag is displayed on the left side of the FEMA death car. Edited by Reservoir Dog

Oh, I only presented the tyranny part.
You discount the fact that those things can't happen that have already happened. People believe whatever they want to
until the facts present themselves repeatedly. The people who call others things like birthers, truthers and the like are
dismissing all the others as being in the same group. If you deny history, such as the holocaust by Hitler, and the millions
who were killed by Stalin and forget, or never learn what allowed those kind of events to take place, you are the one in denial
and should, as you suggest, never even bother opening these types of threads, but do as you like. History does tend to
repeat itself, especially when deniers and complacency gets a hold on society and those same principles that caused it
before, start up again.

If you understand what communism really means, you would also cherish more of what our country was built from and try to
do whatever you could to stop it from spreading, rather than remaining in denial.

I'm far from being a birther, or whatever cute label you wish to call it, but I do see trends with laws that are passed that
have no basis in reality, reason or logic. I have seen some of the comments around here that surprise the Hell out of me,
that are solely based on the expediency of the moment and pure emotion. Also, the complacency that calls rational
thought irrational. One who does that is one who hasn't learned to focus on the meaning of what is being said, rather to
play some music and go back to what you're doing and think "well, it doesn't affect me".

If everything is so nonsensical, stay in your bubble. Maybe you will understand when it bursts.

I know I have mentioned at least once the asset forfeiture and seizure laws, and all the gun laws on the books that most
just willingly accept as it is. Then there is law like the Community Reinvestment Act and Patriot Act, the creation of
Homeland Security. The takeover by the government of General Motors. The Federal Reserve Act. The further addition
of the Federal Reserve by adding agencies within it that regulate credit. Now, what of that is not fact? How many agencies
need police forces within the federal government?

Tell me something in that last paragraph that is not tyranny. I think I know who a denier is when I hear them call someone
a tinfoil wearer when all that someone does is point out tyranny. Our government has grown because of complacency and
apathy on the part of the individual, plus Santa Claus redistributing daily. A natural progression of power of government
is that part of the cliche, Absolute power, and if you want to keep denying, suit yourself. Slow and methodical is the way
government gets away with murder against we, the people, unless we do something about it. Getting information out is
only one way to start that process. The other is to learn from that information, then act when needed to stop the spread
of tyranny.

Pick up a good history book, or something like "The Prince" by Machiavelli, or some other trove of information before you
go and call someone a damn tinfoil hat wearing fool. Or, better yet, don't bother to show your lack of intelligence on these
threads like you claim with your posts. Sometimes, those valuable tidbits of stupidity come back and bite your ass at
inopportune times. If you can't see our own federal government trying to usurp everything it can get its hands on to end
up controlling you and I, you're a damned blind fool. If Obamacare passed, what makes you think the dungshirts are not
plausible?

Past from the past.

On July 2, 2008, Barack Obama announced: “We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”
Comments on his quote above.

Obama’s Civilian National Security Force:

What sort of people would be in this paramilitary force?

What sort of weapons would they have?

Who would command them?

Would they be subordinate to the U.S. military?

Would they be subordinate to the police?

What would be the purpose of this paramilitary force?

What would it do?
And, what are Obama’s “national security objectives?”
Michelle Obama lifts back the curtain hiding Barack’s plans for a new order:
“Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation. That you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed.”

The ones that are in denial will be the ones that will gladly turn in their guns to the fast approaching tyrannical government. And they don't learn these real history lessons about tyranny in public schools anymore. They read pro-socialist material in schools today.

The Homeland Security Geezer corps, outfitted in gray uniforms, would be a natural stabilizing counterweight to the Homeland Security Youth Corps brown shirts. In case of disaster or chaos, the gray shirt units would patrol in heavily armed platoons announcing over the high-powered speakers, "You kids get out of the yard."

All the pretty toys do not an army make. Training makes the difference. They wouldn't last against active or veteran Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen or Marines, especially if they take on an extra-Constitutional role. Current Constitution, that is.

Obamacare, forgiveness of student loans, goverment payroll, and all the Obama benefits of the government taking care of them makes it very enticing to join this Obama Youth Corps.
