Kentucky Gun Purchase?

I guess I've never thought about this before and have some ignorance-based ideas in my head about purchasing laws. Can residents of TN purchase firearms in KY while visiting?

I have a road trip coming up in Feb and might make a few extra stops if the mood strikes. Has anyone had good experience at Gun Shops in KY?

You can, but if it's a handgun it must be shipped to an FFL in TN for transfer.

Thanks.

Follow up question:
Why handguns? Seems weird considering I can come and go with my CW, with my HCP. I'm just curious...

I stopped trying to find logic in gun laws.

If you are going to be near Owensboro, you MUST go to Whittaker's. Just plan to spend some money.

This is the plan! It is likely that I will purchase a good turkey shooter with tax-return money. I'm chomping at the bit for spring...and yet another hobby!
