Am I measuring this correctly?

Well I finally got out so shoot some of my first handloads and I just wanna make sure that I am measuring my groups right to get my MOA. All groups were shot at 100yds. This was shot with my 7mm Rem Mag. From my measurements and math I'm getting a group size of .653 (.937-.284 bullet size=.653) I got my size directly off my box of Sierra bullets.

and this is factory ammo that was shot from my T/C Venture in .223. which I came up with a group size of .375.(.599-.224=.375)

I'm pretty happy with my first handloads(accurate, no over pressure signs, and they didn't blow up in my face :D) and my dad finally believes me about handloading brings out the best in every rifle. What do you guys think?

Measure from the inside of one hole to the outside of the other. That'll keep you from having to subtract the bullet diameter. Edited by Caster

I was always taught that you measured center to center of the holes. No subtraction , no math involed.
BTW nice groups.

If you measure from the inside of one hole to the outside of the next you ARE measuring center to center without the guess work of eyeballing center. For those of us who know our way around measuring tools it's no biggie but it helps those who may not be as proficient.

I just zero my calipers on a projectile ... automatically figures the math and then mesure from outside to outside which is easier than c to c unless you have overlays..

Also I have read there is a program you can download that you scan your targets and it figures it all for you and is exportable so you can post the pic that way too..

It is an amazing piece of software. The only thing is you need to have something at least an inch in length to make sure you get the scae right. Pretty sure you can just take a picture of the target and import it. I always scan and catalog my targets.
