Looks like a sweet rifle. If you love shooting it don't let it go, you'll only regret it and if your anything like me end up replacing it. Why not just save up for an inexpensive hunting rifle then use the 700 as one as well? That way you get two hunting rifles and one is very nice as opposed to two budget ones.

I don't think I'd let that go if I were in your shoes. A bolt action .308 is a pretty versatile rifle.

Hey Rob, I've got a 700 tac in .308 myself, damn fine rifles, not sure why you are considering selling/trading yours off but if you ever do decide to get rid of it give me a call, as I wouldn't mind owning another.
