Got my C&R today, finally. Now to get to faxing and mailing and emailing ......

Congrats. I was excited when I got mine. I've only sent mine off to a couple places (MidwayUSA and AIMSurplus) and I've never bought a firearm with it, but you do get some pretty killer discounts at Midway, so it has paid for itself a few times over by now.

Send one to Southern Ohio Gun (SOG) too. Had good luck with them in the past. You'll get a flyer in the mail as well.

Remember NOT to sign the original licese! It's best to sign the copys of your license with blue ink, so that its apparent that it is an original signature.

Also remember that you'll need to keep a lookout for a "bound book". I used an outdated bound ledger book that my company was giving away.

Now go and get your thirtydollarsworth....

I got a long list of companies off AR15.com, and ordered a bound book from fflboundbook.com. So now just got to wait for the companies to get the C&R.

I have seen people use bound photo albums and just slide the transaction pages between the plastic. From what I can tell on the C&R sites this is 100% legal. Does anyone else do this?

Correct me if I'm wrong here. I believe the intent of the "bound" book is that, unlike a ring binder or the like, pages can't be readily removed or added. So if you are audited and there's a page ripped out you may be questioned about it....

I know of a few people, including 01 FFLs that use ring binders.
