I got my HCP in the mail Saturday! I am so excited. I had to take that famous trip to Wal-Mart. It was so weird!

Yep, the first few trips outdoors with the HCP is a little weird. Before you know it, you'll feel weird without it.

I'm sure Allan will have his in no time. I turned in my paperwork 3 or 4 days after a friend of mine, and mine came in a week before his. I'm not sure how they justify that, but it wasn't long after. Maybe they have a feeling that he's one of those rouge grease monkeys.

we went the same day to DMV. I went in Columbia, He in Franklin. I went 2 weeks later to get finger printed, he did his the same day??? Explain???

My sister is a TBI agent and she said it could have been that the amount of people applying in that county may have made the difference.

I hadn't even started stalking the mail man yet!

Turned my paperwork in, here in Ky, about 2 weeks ago. I've actually had mine before, but let it expire about 2 years back... so not really the same thing. But I made sure the first things I did on the next business day were update my driver's license and renew my CCL. No fingerprinting required, or even filling anything out (aside from signing on the two spots the clerk pointed out). Simply told them I was military moving back into the area after 7 years, showed them my certificate from the original class, and told them I assumed I would need to go through everything again due to the 2 yr lapse. She filled out he paperwork, took my $60, and informed me I would be notified in the mail when it was ready to pick up.

They're quoting 6-8 weeks up here... so we'll see how it goes.

Oh... and we can carry where alcohol is served.

38 days - nice. I hope mine is processed that fast.

That being said, I've set my mind that mine won't arrive until mid-August (approx 70 days) knowing that worst case, I'll likely be correct.

This is really starting to annoy me. How is it that someone gets his permit back in 38 days, and yet here I am after 88 days and still waiting? I mean, I'm glad that people are getting them back quickly- don't get me wrong- but it sure would be nice if that thin would show up in the mailbox...
