Reagan’s push for lower taxes certainly brought more in. Unlike Obama whose policies have not increased revenue to the treasury, but he wants to spend like it has. I cannot remember a Democrat and very few Republicans pushing for responsible spending. Reagan was certainly one of them, Newt was and how is he remembered? The problem is the Government does not know how to tighten its belt, it only knows how to spend uncontrollably and anybody that pushes getting that under control is labeled a freak. IE Ron Paul and Ross Perot. How many Democrats have submitted balanced budget proposals? The Republicans may not be a lot better about this but they are clearly better.[/size][/font][/color][/color][/size][/font]
