WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance critics said gave every nation a veto.

The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush's administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better.

On Wednesday Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms in the United States .
The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties
with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms. It will never happen!

The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws.
Does that mean Obama is telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public.
We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.

This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control.

Please forward this message to others who may be concerned about the direction in which our country is headed. Straight into socialism if Obama
has his way...

We are being led like a lamb to the slaughter (Socialism/Dictatorship).

DON'T KEEP THIS - SEND IT OUT TO YOUR LIST

Yep. My own BS filter worked just fine for this one. If the sky was really falling, I'm pretty sure I would hear it from the NRA. It's good for donations

Hey. Firearms are for sporting purposes. You only own them with govt permission. If they deem them too dangerous, by all means submit them to your local U.N station....get a receipt! And enjoy you impish, slavish, serfdom while your female loved ones are enslaved to satisfy the needs of the troops! Awesome!

I have some lightly used tinfoil for sale...
Only extra virgin tinfoil works. The other stuff has lost it's protective power.

Unfortunately, the House has nothing to do with the treaty process. Only a president's signature and then to
the Senate for a vote to or not to ratify.

That doesn't mean Obama wouldn't try to do something like was in the OP's article. Not saying one way or another,
but I would put anything past him, or for George Soros, for that matter.

Why am I suspicious of a "first ever post" by a person extolling that the sky if falling but there is no citations/sources provided???

I didn't want to be the one to say it.

The election sent a lot of interesting people this way.

As my 23 year old is fond of sayin: "....A certain amount of nuttiness and outlandishness is necessary everywhere. It keeps everybody thinkin....!....". The original poster did us all a favor. We wondered if it wuz true and how it could be done. I see that as a good thing.

But those who wish to minimalize it will keep on forgetting it when it does actually show up. Wasn't there a report that
said on election day Obama told Hillary or the UN to proceed with that UN conference on gun control?

Some of you are just the gun enthusiasts to let this fly right over your arrogant swelled heads. They(liberals) have
been flying trial balloons ever since he was elected the first time. Yeh, more tinfoil. Just what I like about the internet.

The article is from October 2009. The OP may not have realized that, and is still relevant today.

If you keep discounting everything by tinfoiling it, why bother with talking about anything.

Hey, smokin45, this place can be a rough crowd. Be careful what you post, and post a link with it. The clowns don't
know you and will only ridicule you. BTW, welcome. :D

I'm an uncle but the jury is out whether I'm crazy. Crazy uncles are relative.

That's an interesting concept that only virgin tinfoil will work. After some period of use, maybe the old tinfoil gets saturated with NWO control signals and it can't work any more? Like silica gel which has absorbed so much moisture from the air that it quits working? You can recharge silica gel by baking, driving out the moisture. Maybe there is a similar simple treatment to drive saturated NWO control signals out of old tinfoil, refurbishing its effectiveness to like-new condition?

Some scientists have expressed opinion that aluminum foil doesn't work at all and it is hard to find genuine tin foil any more.

But I wonder if the materials effectiveness has been scientifically tested? Maybe aluminum foil works better because of greater conductivity than tin?

In which case copper foil might be better than aluminum foil? They make kewl copper foil with pre-applied adhesive and peel-off wax paper, excellent stuff for shielding high impedance low-level circuits such as the control cavities in electric geetars.

The sticky copper foil might be easy to layer and mold into a fashionable hat, or maybe just apply it to the inside and outside of one's favorite ball cap, gilly or cowboy hat, top hat, pith hat, or bowler.

Hmm, the domed shape of a bowler, combined with the flat reflectivity of the brim, might be excellent to disperse control signal radiations? Beams striking the dome would be widely dissipated, and incoming incident radiaton striking the brim would bounce, hit the central dome, and be well-dissipated. In fact, a copper clad bowler might have a fabulously low radar signature and also inhibit brain wave tracking beams. Perhaps a clad bowler would be the ultimate psychic stealth hat.

Silver foil might be even more gooder. Its a shame we don't yet have room temperature superconductors. A superconducting bowler might be the ultimate, except the liquid nitrogen cooling currently necessary would lend an entirely new meaning to the phrase, "keeping a cool head."

Perhaps the best hat substrate would be carbon fiber or kevlar, though rare earth ceramics, mumetal, lead, or depleted uranium might be better. Difficult to guess without comparative evaluation. The carbon-based composites might return too much "life signature" compared to lead or DU?

The numerous parameters require extensive materials research to find out. I should apply for darpa grants to better clarify these questions. One hundred million might be adequate for the initial planning phase of this important work Edited by Lester Weevils

Lester, testing on myself confirms virgin tin foil hats work despite my Jeri Curls. I do have to swap out to a new hat every 4-6 hrs. I'm gonna try the cheap dollar store brand next. Reynolds is pricey stuff.
