Gave new PSA a sponge bath

So a couple of weeks ago I picked up a PSA AR from iScream in the traders post. I was waiting on my lowly Bushnell to get here to hit it with some Rustoleum, but it was too nice out today and I got impatient. I'll be honest, it was hard to continue after I got the "sand" color over the whole rifle. Something about a solid tan rifle does it for me, but this will see some hunting in the woods, so I went through with it. What do you guys think?

First I degreased the rifle, then used all Rustoleum Camo colors, Base- "Sand" then did stripes with "Deep Forrest Green" then sponged sand over the green and green over the sand. Then sponged on a little "Earth Brown" and "Army Green" here and there. I think I might put quite a bit more Earth Brown on it when I add the reddot.

Here's a pic of the whole rifle.

Looks good! Give that paint at least a week to harden fully before doing much with it.

It's not gummy at all, but I figured I'd better give it a little while before taking it out.
Thanks for all the kind words, I was a little apprehensive when I started, but once it started to come together I was pretty happy. The hard part is sayin," Ok, it's done". Luckily my six year old daughter was helping me, and she got bored after twenty minutes, "Ok Daddy, it's done.....are you through yet....." :)

I've been staring at the pics for a while now. To me it looks like a normal "black" rifle that's been through the mud. I just don't see the green. Don't get me wrong, I like it but I just don't see the green to well. I think a bit more green, both light and dark in long sparse patterns would top it all off with what I see in the photo.

Good job.

And here is a close-up. To kwe, there is quite a bit of green on it, I just can't seem to take a good picture. Still you Might be right, at the least I might dust it with some OD over the whole thing.
