Took my new LWRC SPR out and my brother in laws Mossberg 1500 out to get it sighted in. Ted brought his LWRC M6A3 as well. The 7mm mag kicks like a mule... Shoulder is recovering.

LWRC looks awesome. Got a local dealer wanting me to trade in some ars and buy one. I'm thinking about it. Comments on the LWRC? And the buttstock is great. Thinking about those as well on the Colt and Sabre,

Looks like you all were down at CHMR, stopped by myself and it was PACKED.
It's getting uncomfortable to shoot there. :( got flagged twice by a teenage girl who couldn't stop spinning around every time she hit a target. At least once she had her finger on the trigger...

Sorry for the rant, a bit off topic but it bums me out that my favorite place is getting overrun.

Back on topic, I like the idea of a piston AR I just can't seem to justify the cost for a conversion kit or a finished prebuilt.
Having said that sigbrown has got some extremely desirable appointments on his, all practical no tacticool. It's getting my gears turning in my head for my next build.

Ya, generally, if you go on a saturday on a nice day, it will be pretty busy. The best times to go is during the week and even when it not sunny and warm.

I do worry sometimes about range safety. Especially when its crowded.

I used to go in the week but unfortunately I have a new work schedule with only Sundays off.
It does get better the worse the weather is though so I guess this Dec-Jan I'll be out more.

Another question for the OP, how do you like that mag well grip? I'm thinking one of those would really set my "plastic fantastic" AR into the just about perfect realm. I'm between that or the magpul hand stop/ slanted foregrip thing. Would prefer a mag well grip though as that seems to be the area my hand naturally gravitates towards when shooting...

If I had your spr with that nice front fore grip rail, I would not need the magpul front slant grip and rail covers.

ya the rail on the SPR is nice.  I put the rail covers because it helps keep the gas off my hands.
