My neighbor is an asshat

Know how some people are only good for annoying others? Absolutely NO regard for anyone else. He likes his property rights, but to hell with everyone else's, particularly those residing on either side of him. I go out of my way not to be a nuisance, and as a result can't understand how others can be so oblivious about being such jerks.

This guy moves out here in the country and talks about how much he loves the peace and quiet, but sure loves to make noise and couldn't care less that anyone else is annoyed by it. I tried talking to him politely about the excessive noise his idiot offspring were making when they were teenagers, but he told me in so many words to FOAD.

I've had to endure being awakened in the wee hours of the morning, people driving through my yard, trash being thrown over the property line, aggressive dogs, and general asshattery. Even had to get the county involved once it got so bad, and that eventually stopped it.

The two previous neighbors who lived in that house were great and we got along really well, so it's not because I am hard to get along with. I just can't tolerate people who have no respect for others and seem to enjoy creating animosity.

Rant over.

I'm still waiting for a satellite to fall out of orbit and land on my neighbor's house. They moved in 5 years ago and it has been nothing but trouble since. Police have been involved twice.

I've been waiting for the same thing. All I got was a hot air balloon passing overhead yesterday.

Well as my wife reminds me, miserable people tend to have miserable lives. My neighbor is a awful human being, but he has to suffer through who he is everyday until he dies a lonely, pathetic death which no one will mourn. Just wish that day would get here sooner than later.

Well, I'm lucky I guess, even living downtown on Madison Street. Big old house next to me is vacant(except for a
groundhog, friendly) and the house on the other side is occupied by a lawyer. We have spoken twice. So in the deep,
dark depths of Clarksville, I'm in a relatively decent neighborhood. The groundhog is neighborly. He eats my potato
chips.

We respect the groundhog more than the lawyer. :D I feel your pain, DaddyO

I feel ya man.I have a neighbor that was mowing his yard at 10pm less than a week ago.We both have about 2 acre lots so it takes more than a few minutes to mow..He did it all summer too but I figured...OK he's just avoiding the heat and dealt with it but now I wonder about his mental stability.

Heres a heart warming neighbor story from yesterday.

Lawn company cuts her grass, blows a four foot pile of leaves from her yard into mine. (I have no trees.) Yes, I blow them back. She comes out and yells at me, " I paid to have those blow there!) Me> " What?!"

I feel your pain.

I got one that moved in this the summer that ties a dog up on the front porch every morning at 5am, and leaves it till 8 except the weekends and she leaves it till about 11. And the beast does not want to be outside. I've never seen a dog that can bark that long non-stop. I've tried speaking to her but she is evidently deaf because it's still there and it don't seem to bother her. The local LEO's are too interested chasing little ole ladies down for not coming to a complete stop at stop signs. I've tried to be nice since it's a single mother and her son. But enough is enough

I would love to live in the country, but I can't afford the amount of land needed to keep my neighbors far enough away. I don't see the point of country living if your neighbors are still on top of you. Until I can afford such a piece of land, I'm thankful for a homeowners association that keeps my neighbors in line.

I also feel your pain. Similiar situation here, including 20 chihuahua dogs that ran loose. I am no dog hater, I but I depised those dogs. Considered the rat poison, but never did. Anyway, thankfully after the economy turned sour, they moved. The new neighbors are great friends of ours now. Nothing but peace and quiet now.

I feel ya. Ive had my share of inconsiderate nieghbors over the years. My current nieghbors on one side are immigrants from south of the boerder and speak little to no English. They have several small dogs that pestered the heck outta me when I was trying to sleep. They are inside dogs, but they let them out in their back yard thasts close to my bedroom, and they yip and yap for an hour to get back in. After getting so upset once that i wanted ot go shoot the damn dogs, lol, I went instead to walmart and got a nice fan, that masks the noise. Not only can i sleep better now, but I also sleep cooler, lmao. Used to have a older lady on the other side who hired a company to cut her grass and they would also blow it into my yard. I learned that if I went outside when they were cutting, not only did they NOT blow it my way, my scowls at them resulted in them coming over onto MY driveway to blow the cuttings back onto HER property? But overall, so far my nieghbors arent bad. Most of us dont know each other except to wave hi, and I hate that part, but at least we stay out of each others business. Wish i could afford to live in the country on enough land to not have to worry about any of this.

Think your neighbor is bad. This POS was our next door neighbor. Everyone seemed to think he was going bad but the police couldn't pin anything on him. We moved to the woods just before he got those two army captains. Perfect example why justice needs to be swift and sure.

Asshat would be a great band name too.

Asshat Beer
Asshat Beef Jerky
Asshat Ammo

Just for starters.

This would make a good logo:

My next door neighbor is a real jerk. We are on 5 acre tracts and on the other side of me is a 200 acre bean field that can't be built on because it is river bottom land that floods. Anyway, me neighbor always mows his yard before I do, keeps his place very neat, decks the place out for christmas, never bothers us... I know he's doing all that just to make me look bad. I just know it!
