Goodman & Pope Show on same weekend (6/20-22)?

The Pope show did seem more of a knife show this time. Was disappointed that there was about half the vendors as their last show.

I did find some .357 mag ammo for a great price. Wasn't a complete loss.

Was probably the worst show I've been to. We went looking for a Saiga, and only saw about 5 AK's in the whole place, all of them crap.

I thought I'd pick up some 7.62, since I'd been told ammo was cheaper at the shows. Well... the 7.62 at Academy is cheaper than ANYTHING at the show.

Thought I'd found a good deal on AK mags, got 5 for $80. Well, we took a trip up to G&L, because after calling everybody on earth, they turned out to have the ONLY Saiga 7.62 in Middle TN, and they had the SAME mags in the SAME mag-bag for the SAME price.

I will not pay admission to another Gun Show. My crew and I have decided that once a month or so, we are gonna load up in one car, chip in on gas, and hit all the gun stores in Middle TN. Start down at Hero Gear, and work our way up to G&L.

Oh, and a big THANKS to G&L, they were very nice, let us browse for as long as we wanted, let us handle everything in the store, and Schmoo's background check and purchase went quick, smooth and easy!

Gun's & Leather are some of the finest people around. I've been to many gun stores that look at you all stupid when you ask a question about something. Not at G&L. They always seem more than happy to explain everything you need to know, and then some. And they never have a bad attitude. Plus, they have a great indoor range. For these parts anyway.
