I have a niece who thinks like this. When I asked her what she would do if she suddenly found her life being threatened by some hulk who outweighed her by a couple hundred pounds, she said "Well, I guess if it were my time to go, then that would be OK.". LOL Wut? How can someone have so little regard for her own life as to just hand it over to some douchebag? Edited by DaddyO

I think we all must have one of those. My gay(term used loosely) nephew thinks communism is a good thing
and doesn't understand the fascination with firearms, but gets behind you if confronted. Little coward will be
at Thanksgiving dinner. I will be there, briefly.
Don't you just love it when some know-it-all college student who doesn't know his a$$ from a hole in the ground tries to tell you what you need and don't need? Just take a look at this bovine scat - this is what our educational system is producing:

He needs to tell that to the 13 murder victims and their families in Jackson TN. this year alone. I'm sure there will be more before this year is through. Better yet, we should move him right on down here for a year or two. Let him get a taste of "Real" life.

"When seconds count ... the police are only minutes away".

"Everyone has a right to their own opinion ... regardless of how wrong it is".

I am sure there are a few more fitting sayings, but I think those two cover the subject fairly well.

They are the same ones who think Utopia exists.

Ditto.

And life should be fair and we all should be equal.......................

You don't need prostate exams or seat belts either. Who cares if a man dies from something he could have prevented by simple measures of fail safe implementation.

What a total douche. I love how he appeals to the old some kid found their daddy's gun argument.
Gun-lovers love to think they are responsible. No matter how responsible they are, or think they are, there is a strong possibility that kids will find their guns. My grandfather (to be honest, I question his responsibility) left his gun in the trunk of his car. My cousins and I touched it as kids, and may have picked it up. I don’t know if it was loaded. Around five kids are injured or killed by handguns each day in the United States, according to the The Survivors Club. The children of parents you’d probably consider responsible, in one recent case of a police officer, find guns and hurt or kill themselves.
Well, that is it. I am convinced. We need to ban swimming pools. Swimming pools serve no function in society outside of personal enjoyment, which is analogous to target practice. Since there are so many accidental drownings, we should ban them. After all, it is for the children.

Ya know, I have never understood why so many people feel this incessant need to interfere in the lives of others. My advice to them would be to have a Coke, a smile, and shut the f*** up.

Ironic, isn't it? NH motto is "Live Free or Die". Without firearms, there isn't much you can do to make sure of the first part. All you are left with is the second part.

Being a dumba$$ is a mental illness now?

Because they as TMF said, live in this bubble and have never once been close to loosing their life. Anyone on here that's been in a combat situation will tell you that it only takes 5 seconds to break you, or change your outlook on life for as long as you live.

Have you all considered sending her to Afghanistan to attend high school?
