Florida range let's you shoot your friends

Does anyone know more about this, such as what modifications are made and what they fire? There's still a projectile involved right? Is this new?

Any thoughts on the effectiveness of such training?

It looks like they are using simunitions. Great training tool for force on force training. I've seen the military use them on several occasions and they are very effective.
Be warned, if you get hit by one, it hurts like a mother!

I know federal has a new fx round out for AR's that you only have to replace the bolt for. It has a minimum standoff for bare skin of only 1 foot.

It is very effective training. You get real time feedback whether you did well or not. I've been in force on force classes and I will say they are ego crushers. They are also the most rewarding in lessons learned.

I get more of an adrenaline rush doing the force on force classes that the ones where I've had explosives thrown at me and had to stick needles into simulated casualties.

I highly reccomend you do it.

Both simmunitions & high-end/professional quality airsoft weapons are very handy force on force training tools.

I have used both in force on force training, as well as MILES (multiple intergrated laser engagement system) gear, but these days I usually do my force on force training with high-end airsoft gear, because it is so much easier on the wallet if you do not have the military or a police department picking up the tab for it.
