Oil prices topping $130 a barrel may slow global economic growth, Japan's trade minister said, urging the world's biggest energy consumers to cut back on demand. ``Assuring energy security is now the top priority of all countries,'' Japan's Trade Minister Akira Amari said today at the opening of a meeting of energy ministers from the Group of Eight industrialized nations, plus China, India and South Korea, in Aomori, northern Japan.

The economist in me thinks this is one big necessary correction. That is, oil prices get so high, we stop buying crap from china because it is too expensive to ship, trade deficit falls, dollar strengthens. Perhaps just wishful thinking......

The pimps and whores that KEEP getting sent back to foggy bottom every election sold us out a long time ago. We knew that issues were coming back in peanuts Carter day and haven't done anything since then. Frickin environmentalist and the liberal community have a lot of blame in this mess but so do we for letting them get away with their BS on energy.

I am all for planting trees and would plant more if the fertilizer was an environmentalist wack-job from ELF or some other save the snail but frick humans group...
