Considering picking up one or the other. Anyone care to chime in? I like the Trijicon with the triangle reticle, but I like the Eotech as well. The thing I dont like about the Eotech is the batteries. The thing I dont like about the Trijicon is the washout of the reticle under certain lighting conditions, but it does have a filter. Any thoughts?

Thanks fellas.

Can't comment on the Trijicon, but I'm a big Eotech fan. I have two of the 512's. Batteries aren't a big deal, because they're AA's. Both of my Eotech guns have on board battery storage.

I would go with the Trijicon. They have tritium in them for low light conditions.

Dude, which Trijicon did you go with? I'm in a similar situation as we speak, waiting for the Goodman's show in Dec but can't find anyone in Nashville that carries a ACOG. I'm familiar with the EOTech and im flirting with the investment for the Trijicon TA31RMR 4x32 with the RMR quick sight on the top.

I picked up the Reflex RX-06. It has the triangle reticle. I rather like it. It does get washout when looking into bright light, but it also has a filter that eliminates that. Its a pretty sweet optic..
I don't know about the one you bought but I know the Trijicon ACOGs have a red tube on top of the optic that pics up light. If you take electrical tape and put over a portion or all of that tube, it will reduce your washout. Then, when you're in a low light situation, you just peel the tape off. If your optic has the same type of light intake I feel sure this trick will work for you.

You're very welcome. Good looking optic too! I am a firm believer in Trijicon and have had A LOT of experience with their ACOG.

I looked on Trijicon's website and it said the illumination sources are Tritium and fiber optics. I'm not sure where the fiber optic gets its light from but if you could find it i think you could do something similar to regulate light input. But that being said, I have never used this particular sight and all this is just speculation. Good luck though and I am in the market for something similar and I would greatly appreciate a range report!

I got mine sighted in and have it on a Kvar kv-04 mount. It shoots really good and am pleased with the results for a non magnified optic.
