Indoor IDPA Nashville

My pleasure.  We had a good group; they were excited to be there, and seemed eager to pitch in and break down at the end of the match.  I couldn't ask for more.  I'll be looking for you next month.

Had a great night again at IDPA here in Nashville. Nice to have an indoor range for these cold and early nights!!! Can't thank Nashville Armory and especially David for getting us started. Also to Mark and Robert for helping us IDPA beginners and driving into town when they already have great places to shoot! (just too cold right now for a wuss like me!!!) That said, can't wait for the nice weather and some outdoor!

Thanks again guys!

Once again thanks to the guys who put this on. I had a blast at my first IDPA shoot and met some good people, I'll definitely be back for more!

Glad to have you, Pat. By the way, our schedule is changing slightly. Instead of every other Tuesday, we will have matches on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. So, our next match which would have been on Feb 5 will now be on Feb 12. And, FYI I will be out of town on business that week, so I am ironing out who will be the match directors for the evening.

Cheers,

DOH! I "NEEDED" that match on the 19th before I head up to Springfield! What have you done to me!!

Catch ya'll on the 12th.

Question for Nashville folks- what is the best time of day after 1:00pm to get through Nashville coming 65 southbound? I spent a hour in Nashville traffic last time and would not like to repeat it if possible.

Well, sbcman, I "need" a match every week! When I was in Atlanta, I'd often shoot indoor matches 2 nights a week, and occasionally 3. Coulda done 4, but I would have exploded from sensory overload...

Thanks for the update on dates! And sbcman, as far as the best time to drive, I suggest as soon as possible after 1pm. Rush hour traffic starts stacking up as soon as 3pm, and between then until around 630pm it's just s parking lot. ( This has all been in my experience. )

Thanks man, that's what I needed to know. The nice thing about getting down to the Armory early is that a guy can look at guns, maybe buy something and hang in the lounge.

Tomorrow night?  (2/12/13)

I just got a new XDM 9mm and want to try this out (IDPA).  I only have two mags though, will I need 3?

Three is best, but you can survive with two if you don't shoot too many extra shots. I designed three stages for tomorrow, each requiring 12 shots.
By the way, I will not be there tomorrow. Robert from Gallatin Gun Club and Darryl M. who were both there last time will be running it in my absence.

They are limited to 10 per, 2x10+1 =21 bullets you woud have at start with your 2 mags, so you should be fine so long as you don't need more than 9 extra shots.   See you there!
