I'm not an RO, otherwise I would of gladly offered.

There are lots of ways to help without being an RO, but that is not the point. We just didn't have the people or energy to host two matches on consecutive weekends, especially with the holidays approaching.

The guy who normally heads the steel matches cannot do it. I don't think he's an RO either, but spearheads the stage design and coordinates email to the shooting community for set up day etc.....

Everything is done on a volunteer basis. All too often the same 3-5 people do 99% of the work, and those folks did not have the time or inclination to take over the steel match. The more active the club members, the more vibrant the shooting opportunities.

I invite everyone to get involved in their shooting clubs and take an active role. We need to grow all the shooting sports!!!!

I don't doubt it. I try to get out as often as I can, but as it stands, the only "free day" I have are Sundays. Sunday's that I have to plan months in advance just so I can show up and shoot, badly at that. I've only been able to get out to one Saturday set-up unfortunately. I can certainly understand the core group's frustration being responsible for nearly all of the work, I've been there myself with my last club. All too often I was one of three guys bush-hogging and weed eating.

I hope that you guys didn't take my comment in poor taste, it's certainly understandable giving the timing of the match.
