Greetings,

Glad to find the forum here and join. Looks like a good place for info and discussion with other TN residents and beyond.

I enjoy firearms and safety. I like to take advantage of my rights when I can do so. 2nd amendment is an important right to me, and have been around firearms most of my life. I have never been a LEO or military, but many members of my family have served in war and peace time. My grandfather was US Army in WW2 and served as police chief and later fire chief in a small town in KY where my family is from.

I have TN HCP. I also have a Ham radio license. I think that hobbies that can serve you well in emergencies are a good idea.

Thanks for the read, good to be here. Edited by N80

Welcome to TGO!
Are you ever over at the Cheatham TWRA range? I work in Ashland City so used to shoot there after work before the time change.

I haven't been there yet. I can't find info on where it is located on the interweb. There is a phone number listed for info, but it is the only site on the TN gov website lacking an address. Where is it located? Also, thanks for the welcome.

Hopefully this link works: https://plus.google.com/106092636792835951689/about?gl=us&hl=en
If not, search coordinates 36.210624,-87.105796
2-3 25yd lanes, 4 50yd lanes, and 4-5 100yd lanes

I usually found it deserted weekdays after work. I've heard some horror stories about safety issues on weekends, but have never seen anything in person.

Welcome neighbor. Be glad to show where the CMA range is located or you can follow the signs to the WMA headquarters.

From AC take Hwy 49 toward Dickson, left turn onto Petway Road at Greenbriar (there's a volunteer fire dept immediately on your left after you turn). Another left turn at the store on the left/fire tower on the right. There's two roads there; the paved one beside the store is not it. The WMA road is a few yards past it, slightly hidden in the trees. The range is on the left before you reach the headquarters building. It's probably a couple of miles after you're on WMA property

There's no attendant/range master so you'll need to get your $5 daily ticket before you get there (any place that sells hunting liscenses). I've never been checked but I'm sure they will sometime. It's a primitive set-up take everything you want with you.

Thanks for the info. I know exactly the tower you speak of on Petway. I go to a dentist in White Bluff that way a couple times a year. Funny I never knew I was passing that, but at least I know how to get there. :) thanks again for the welcomes, and I'm happy to learn new stuff so quickly.
