LWRC SPR

Anybody got one? I was at Franklin Gun Shop last thursday and was drooling over a LWRC 16" SPR in ODG that they just got in ($2699 before tax!) The fit between the upper and lower was awesome with absolutely no movement. The free floating rail felt great as well.

I've been pricing them online, and it seems like a lot of dealers are out of stock and backordered for weeks.

I have a LWRC M6a3 and love it, one fine rifle you can't go wrong with a LWRC.

Im hoping that the gas piston runs cleaner and easier to clean.

Shot an LWRC at the range a bit back. It was a 14.5" piston gun, shot like a dream. I was impressed by their product but man are they pricey!

I spend most of my time on a forum where LWRC is hated for some fairly solid reasons. If I was going to do the piston gun I would probably just go for the HK, LMT, or SCAR.

Actually I would forgo the 5.56 piston gun and just get a SR-15 if I was going to get something with proprietary parts at all.

I was there yesterday and the had 5 LWRC SPR’s: 2 black and 1 OD with 14.7 inch barrels and 2 with 16 inch barrels, one OD and one black. [/font][/color]

Ya i was at G&L on friday and they had one SPR. It was the 16" black base model. they were selling it for 1950. If it was a 14.7" i probably would have bought it on the spot and just upgraded the furniture myself.

I completely understand your post and looking back I have no first hand experience to offer, and should probably have just let it go.
