Wasn't her answer to every question about White Water "I don't recall/I don't have any recollection...?" I'm sure that's all she would say over Libya.

i just feel for the wife and kids. dont think a man would put his family through all of this if it wasnt true.
Little doubt it's true, it's just that with the timing, it's very likely just part of the story. There aren't many pure coincidences in Washington and the public words generally mask the truth rather than reveal it.
Yeah, I seem to remember a couple of people related to White Water who mysteriously died too. "Accidents" and such. More dead people in Benghazi. What a coincidence. The Clintons seem to leave a trail of bodies.

The Libya hearings are coming up soon. Petraeus resigning just before those hearings is suspect. My thoughts are this:

1. They wanted him to take part of the blame and he refused to be one of Obama's scape goats. They already had some dirt on him just in case. The affair enabled them to get him out of the picture in the event he refused. It is no secret that the leaders in government use these tactics.

2. He resigned so that he can testify and tell the truth during the hearings. I hope this is the reason. No longer being employed by the government might free him up to give up the dirty details about the attack and the White House's refusal to allow the military to intervene.

Something tells me the Libya hearings will be just another dog and pony show. Any credible intelligence or otherwise will be long gone or not allowed in the hearings.

Supposedly this investigation has been ongoing for months and the FBI was not legally allowed to do it unless congressional committees or higher gave authorization.

All of this going on and I still want to know why another country can shoot at our military equipment and it be ignored completely. (not downplaying the importance of investigating the Benghazi situation) - I think we're in for a rough ride

I hear ya Sam. Military equipment? Who cares about that! Apparently it's ok for another country to kill our Ambassador (and others) and it be ignored completely.

Here's some interesting reading on this subject: http://moonbattery.com/?p=20808

I think it's dead on target.

Plot thickens.

Now we find that Clapper knew about the affair in Sept. of 2011, and Holder knew by this summer, and whole investigation "officially" wrapped up 2 weeks before the election. And the kicker is that the affair ended in July and all the involved knew that it had. Which of course makes it pretty obvious that nobody was going to force him out over some strange nookie, only that it was a bit of dirt to keep in BHO's back pocket in case it were ever needed.

It's becoming quite apparent that if Benghazi hadn't happened, Petraeus' resignation wouldn't have happened, especially since even he made a "it's the video" statement at one point (likely coerced since the affair was known).

But then either his statement about "nobody in CIA denied help" buried him, for BHO to call his "pecker in my pocket" chit in, or, maybe Petraeus just couldn't take the political filth anymore and did indeed resign on his own prerogative, but if so, it sure wasn't over the affair in and of itself. If the latter is the case, I expect his truthfully testimony to come out eventually.

Whatever eventually emerges, all this new info shows that the whole shebang is just as dirty or dirtier than any of us have yet opined.

There is an old military saying "Don't screw with the spooks."

Whatever dirt Obama has on an essentially honorable man such as General Petraeus surely pales in comparison with what the spooks most probably have on Obama, an essentially dishonorable man.

General Petraeus ought to be placed on a 24-hour security watch so he doesn't get Fort Marcy'd, or Arkancided, or whatever they call the current technique in this infinitely corrupt White House.

This affair is a non-issue. This is way more than that. I think Gen. Petraeus is an honorable man who wanted out
of some other cover up. Benghazi to start with. It may have it's roots in the so-called "Arab Spring". Never know.

I really wonder what Valerie Jarret is up to in Iran. There is always an official version, but with her ties to Iran, she
may be doing the rest of their work that was started several years ago.

If this country wasn't so uptight about sex, this affair would be a non-issue. It's a shame this man's career is going to end because of some side tail. Lighten up, America!
Sex is not even the real issue or point. The media said about Bill Clinton, the highest military commander (in-chief!), that what a man does with his penis is his business as long as it's consensual. I thought all of that was a settled issue?!?!

What's the real issue? All I'm hearing about is his resignation because of an affair with this woman.

General Petraeus, the now-resigned CIA Director, is the "been there" guy on the Complex Terrorist Attack at Benghazi, Libya and the Assassination there of the American Ambassador and three other Americans, which the Obammunist is trying to sell as a riot over some stupid movie dissing islam.

General Petraeus is allegedly being pressured to keep his mouth shut so the facts don't get out and blow up the Obammunist's story. A lot of folks think that the Obammunist has known about the Gen Petraeus affair for some time and held it over his head for his silence at least until after the election. Apparently Gen Petraeus outed himself on the affair because it was the more honorable path.

The S is about to HTF.
