I'm working a leather sheath for several different knives but want some input. This one is one I started and was playing with to see what something would look like. Any input/what you would like is a sheath is welcome.

What are the chances of the blade cutting through the stitches? If the knife has a pointy end, I can see it punching through the stitches on the end and poking out. Otherwise, I like it.

Hence why I put the rivets in. That one is two pieces whereas some of the others I have made are three piece. Two outer pieces and one inner piece cut in the outline of the blade and outside of the sheath. Getting back to the question though, it's tight enough to where you would really have to try and shove the knife in there to cut the stitches.

I think for the next one I am going to try molding the leather around a piece or rawhide molded to the blade shape to avoid potential cutting through when only stitches are used.
