What will you do on the day after tomorrow?

Recommended Posts

For me, my day tomorrow will go as each day does...I'll go to work, earn some money, pay some bills, read some, watch some TV and play with my cat and my dog then go to bed and repeat the same thing on Thursday and on Friday.

If Romney wins, as I expect he will, I'll be doing all this things with a renewed hope that this country may begin the slow, slow, process of stopping our headlong plunge over the financial and socialist cliff and start to turn back toward liberty and freedom and personal responsibility.

If Obama wins then I truly believe that the country our founders gave us will be lost as we'll continue to spend trillions of dollars we don't have...leave Americans to die without help and without repercussions...punish achievers so that we can reward the inept and lazy...dole out "justice" at the whim of unscrupulous, morally bankrupt people...and call our friends enemies and our enemies, "friends"; all done, of course, in the name of "fairness" and "equality".

At least at my age I can be pretty sure I won't be around long enough to see the worst of it.

I've decided to not watch the news or listen to talk radio all day tomorrow. I guess I'll find out wins when one of you guys post it. I'm past the point of giving a :poop:

I tried that in 2008. It didn't work.

On a sunny day late in January 2013...

An old man approached the White House from Across Pennsylvania Avenue, where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the U.S. Marine standing guard and said, 'I would like to go in and meet with President 0bama.'

The Marine looked at the man and said, 'Sir, Mr. 0bama is no longer president and no longer resides here. The old man said, 'Okay' and walked away.

The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, 'I would like to go in and meet with President 0bama.'

The Marine again told the man, 'Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. 0bama is no longer president and no longer resides here.'

The man thanked him and, again, just walked away. The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same U.S. Marine, saying 'I would like to go in and meet with President 0bama.'

The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, 'Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. 0bama. I've told you already that Mr. 0bama is no longer the president and no longer resides here. Don't you understand?'

The old man looked at the Marine and said, 'Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it.'

The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, 'Yes, Sir, see you tomorrow, Sir.'

I don't know... I'll either be wishing I was born and lived a hundred years ago, or happy that America is getting back on track in time for me to get going with my adult life. Sigh. Maybe it won't matter as much to a closed-in kid living away from towns and cities, but... no, it still matters. I fear that if Obama wins, the United States will just continue to dwindle into a cesspool of disgusting liberal ideas until we become no better or worse than once-great places like Britain, or Europe as a whole, even.

When BHO loses I'll also have a sigh of relief that our country hasn't gone down the tubes. IF he wins my cranium won't combust but I'll be depressively disappointed.

After 4yrs of Romney IF he hasn't done what he said he was going to do, at least on the big issues, then I will vote him out too.
Life goes on.

The next fight will be in 2014 with 33 of the 100 seats in the Senate being contested. I hope everyone will remember what we went through in 2008 when it comes for that time to vote.

Amen...anyone who things "it's over" if Romney wins would be a fool.

Restoring and protecting our republic is a job that never ends nor is it a spectator sport - we can't let up on the pressure just because Obama gets replaced. Individual people CAN make a difference but ONLY if they engage themselves in the process.

I'll just keep hitting F5 on the forum to see if any of you need help with the riots if Romney wins. We can have a gool ol' plucking party. Just imagine all the fun and fellowship we could have. Sipping on a cold coke, getting to know other members, plucking off a few rioters.

Tongue in cheek of course...

If you're Obama, you win no matter what happens in the polls. He'll be working the rubber chicken circuit, making bank, protected by the Secret Service on our dime, for the rest of his life. Honestly if I were him, I'd want to lose the election just so I could get started with that.
At least he loses the big plane and the White House. We're still paying upkeep on Carter. I'll be happy
with another "has been"any day.

If Johnson doesn't win I'll be buttoned up at home, locked and loaded. Guarding the homestead. If Johnson doesn't win the damn libertarians are certain to riot. Chaos everywhere. Unhinged libertarian wild-men looting liquor stores. Breaking glass. Stealing TV's and tennis shoes. Heaving bricks at passing automobiles. Barricades in the streets. Molotov cocktails.

Better hope Johnson wins unless you want nationwide anarchy! Dickie Weed almost certainly won't win and it will be bad enough when Dickie Weed voters go ape. But nowhere near as violent as millions of peed-off berserking libertarians. :)

Nobody reads books no more, so I don't understand all this chatter 'bout this Librarian Party. Just a bunch old ladies praising the Dewey Decimal System. Yawn.

That's more like it. Our work will never be done as long as we breath, because the politicians will get comfortable and return to business as usual.

No sir, I was speaking of TGO members. There are very serious issues at stake in this election, but we must breath and focus to deal with the threat properly. Ranting until we bust a blood vessel is not a good thing.

Ill be turning in applications, still trying to find a job that isn't construction labor. Doesnt really matter who wins or loses this time, all we are doing is voting the lesser of two evils.

Remember you said that 10-20 years down the road after the BHO loaded Supreme Court has crimped your style. Not to mention all the lesser federal judge appointments that may affect it first.

I'm really sick to death of hearing the parroted phrase "lessor of two evils" as if it actually means something ...putting policy/political differences aside, I see nothing in Romney's life that justifies labeling him as "evil". Edited by RobertNashville

"Elections have consequences". It mattered 4 years ago and it matters even more today, IMO. Lesser of two evils implies that one is a greater evil. I personally believe that mitt is more qualified for the job both intellectually and ideologically.

I don't know of anything better than ranting about Obama at the present time. Nothing good about the economy to talk about other than Obama has stimulated the gun industry and made people aware that gun ownership is a good thing in being a citizen. They just need to know that gun onwership is addictive. Now the rest of the economy needs stimulating through the free markets, and get government out of the way, and that is not going to happen until Obama is out as POTUS. Ranting is good for you.

The republicans and democrats are in this racket together. If the people could work together half as well as they do we could elect better representatives.
Kinda like two competing gas stations agreeing to price gouge for the sake of screwing the consumer.
