Is it common for the M&P to have the internal lock system? Have any of you folks had problem with it in the autopistol? I have a snub with the internal lock and have not had a problem with it yet but have tried recently to not buy guns with the internal lock.

The M&P is available with and without the ILS. If perchance, you find that you have purchased one with an ILS, they are not difficult to remove as long as you have basic mechanical skills and a few punches.

I probably wouldn't remove it if using it for a carry gun though, probably no big deal but why give the defence attorney for the other guy anything to work with?

If you really hate it you may find someone with kids who wants one for a nightstand gun.
