What do you think of this Mosin

I have been wanting a Mosin sniper model for a while. This would blow my shooting budget for a while, so I am looking for opinions on this. Plus I had to get out of the political forum and back to guns before I went off the deep end.

If you are looking for a legit sniper, Rguns is the only place selling them. I recommend doing some research and a lo of it at The Russian Mosin Nagant forum. This sniper business has been talked about to death over there and these guys are the Mosin specialists.

Not arguing with you, Just trying to find out all I can. I went to the mentioned forum and did a search for classic arms. Several threads came up discussing these guns and not one said they are fakes. Everyone that had bought one seemed happy with it, but also didn't seem to be an expert. Again, just trying to learn all I can.

I would search sniper instead the company name. Lots more information over there. Just trying to make sure you know what you are paying for.

I just recieved one from Classic and they ARE the real deal. On another military surplus forum they are all the buzz from some very informed collectors. I would say get one soon wial they last, at last report less than 20 remained.

Classic Firearms (previously Classic Arms) is a great company. I have purchased numerous firearms from them, and I've always received exactly what I was expecting.

Only once did I have an issue, and it was because their website indicated they had an item in stock when they didn't. They were running a special and their system couldn't keep up with all the orders that were placed before mine. I finally received the items 2 months later. Even after this, I wouldst hesitate to order from them again.

Anyone hear whether it's worth bothering to just have a scope mount drilled and tapped onto a regular mosin? Firefield sells a reproduction scope and mount for around $139.

Get one with a good bore and crown and it's definitely worth it. Get a decent scope. I'm mounting a scout setup on one currently.

Will second or third the fact thay are the real deal. Came from the same batch as AIM's which have been "blessed" as legit from the head authorities of Mosin collecting in the country.
