^Well no, not really...the word "horde" has an entirely different meaning than "hording"; at least I think it does in the way the OP asked the question (maybe I'm taking the OP's question too seriously??? ;)

I think the hoarding label is based on the number of safes you have. More than 10 safes and you are technically a hoarder.
Well if that's the case I have a way's to go. But...how do you factor in weapons you purposely don't put in a safe because you want immediate access to them? How many of those can you have scattered around your house before you are a hoarder, or at least, being overly paranoid??? ;)

But grown folks collecting beanie babies and stuffed bears from Vermont is totally normal. I collect. I only have two arms, so I'm not so delusional to think that having so many firearms is going to protect me more than if I just had one.

Sure they will. Line 'em up on the window sill and run a broom handle thru the trigger guards :). Haven't figured out how to bump fire them that way, but I'm working on it.

1. How many people do you like enough to arm when TSHTF? ____
2. How many guns do you have? ____

Subtract 1 from 2. If the answer is a negative, you need more guns. If the answer is a positive, you need more friends.

I figure under those circumstances, friends may come pretty easy. Mine isn't even close to negative :)

There is a difference between collecting and hoarding. Do stamp collectors who possibly have hundreds of stamps consider theirselves hoarders? More than likely not. Same goes for coin collecting. My .02

I have an answer, (no I have not read the whole thread)
You are a horder if you have more guns than you can shoot at 1 an hour for 1 year!!!
24 hr x 365 = 8760 is the answer!

Does the size of the safe come in to factor? If not, I am golden.

If your "safe" is a "room" and it's full, you may not be golden.

Can you explain the difference in hoarding, accumulating, collecting, investing, and speculating?

How many dollars does one need before they are hoarding?

Who's business is it how many guns you have?
