Spent all weekend, just to piss myself off

I worked on this knife most of the weekend. I ended up with a blade I love, and a handle/guard that I hate. The round handle looks fine, but the D-guard was a huge mistake, as it sits to far from down from the ricasso area, and I slotted the handle for the hidden tang wrong, and the back end of the handle has just enough looseness and wobble to piss me off, as I refuse to sell a knife that isn't to my standards. So next weekends project involves making a new handles, getting ready of that blankity-blank ugly ass d-guard for a true fighting guard and end cap setup, and working the handle to blade ricasso area for a much better line flow. Anyways, heres a pic of my failure. Let me know what you think. Anyone with photshop ability, or a good idea, tell me what handle/guard setup suits this damn bowie.

I think the ricasso to blade edge transition needs to be smaller, closer ot the knife in RED333's first link. I think you are missing out on some edge length that way you have it. Right now it is just a dull area that lacks any real use. If you could change/shrink that area it would flow better. I like the idea of a D-guard, but the usable aspect is just lacking. Maybe redo the whole handle keeping the round handle but adding a big pommel, either flat or bluntly coned. The hilt could be a fancy S shape like RED333 suggested, or just do a utilitarian-esque flatter style, more like a typical fighter would have. The back of the hilt, as you have it now, is too big and cumbersome looking. The clip on your point is a little too deep, possibly making the point fragile. Otherwise it looks good.

Is that the other piece of 1084?
