as one who remembers the 93 storm in soddy-daisy i had 21 ins. in my parking lot and at 75 years old dont want to try to cope with that again. keep that stuff up north.

I remember it well too. I had the time of my life. Got to ride my three wheeler up and down hwy 100 and the cops would just wave. Not like they could give chase.

I made a small fortune making vice runs for my buddies. Ten bucks a pack for Camels and they were glad to get it. No telling how much food I ran from the local grocery store.

No power for weeks, my grandfarts had propane so it was still toasty over at their place. We had a monstrous fireplace so,ours wasn't bad either.

Good times!

I didn't see anything white south of the park. Went over to Murphy, NC to get a bunch of hardwood flooring. I

would have been in trouble with the tires on my trailer.

from the pictures I saw of New York, I'd say it was bad. All that salt water getting in the subways means it got

in other places more sensitive. Lots of power outages and bad flooding. I haven't heard about the snow, but

it was supposed to come down in buckets with that cold front merging with the storm.

Those wind patterns look wild to me.

I look forward to snow here every year! Every year I'm disappointed. Seems like we used to get more snow down here. Now we just go to MI for Christmas...but last year I was disappointed there too. I do love the South when there's the slightest weather warning how everyone runs to the store to clean out the bread & milk. And then the closing of the schools...wow over the tiniest amount. Kids are always like hey they're gonna close school. I look at the forecast & tell them nope....I'm usually wrong.

Sent from iPad in the woods.

Snow sucks. Means traffic is worse and you have to leave hours early just to make it on time to work. I rather it never snow on weekdays.

In my opinion the only good snow is snow that is so deep that you have no option but to stay home. Get a fire going. Make some hot drinks. Maybe some sledding.
