World's Greatest Songs

Recommended Posts

I hope this hasn't already been done. If so, I couldn't find it.

What's one of the songs you can listen to over and over again? It doesn't necessarily have to be your normal "type" of music, just a song that really moves you.

This typically isn't my "type" of music, but I can listen to this song for hours.

There are many versions of this song. Most would likely know it from the movie, Shrek. Most would say Jeff Buckley's version is the best. Though it's extremely difficult to disagree, I love this version.

Hallelujah

Espen Lind(on guitar), Askil Holm, Alejandro Fuentes, Kurt Nilsen

Very nice.

I don't recall another topic like this here, but I could be wrong. I know we have one on another board called "What are you listening to now". That's up to a zillion pages.

I suspect this will turn into a popular topic.

I used to listen to this one over and over again while driving backwards through my girlfriends neighborhood with she and I screaming the lyrics and laughing hysterically the summer after my senior year of High School.

Great choice. That must be the longest version I've heard.

You always have the classic remake of this great song. - I did not realize that they would not let you link a real video, so I found this even more interesteing version.

I was actually in college when American Pie was released. Local stations played the long version about once an hour.

When asked what "American Pie" meant, McLean replied, "It means I never have to work again."

YouTube is acting weird, so I can't get the song I want to come up. Maybe later....

My "top 10" includes about 100 songs. But this one here is Tennessee themed and a mighty good one. Listen over and over to get properly mesmerized. This video is crappy by the way.

Simply copy and paste the link. The video will appear.

IMHO, the original sucks, but this version is great.

Chris Cornell - Billie Jean (Yes, the Michale Jackson song)

Live/Acoustic version.

I hate(D) that song until I heard Cornell's version.
