Youth hunt

Anyone have any luck this morning? We saw a nice buck, but too far out for a shot. Saw 7 in total, but not what we were looking for. This is the first year my daughter has been selective when it came to harvesting a deer. We aren't hungry, so I don't mind if she passes on does and little bucks. I imagine if she doesn't have one by tomorrow evening, then a doe would be in serious trouble.

I can't wait to let my daughter harvest her first deer. I'm gonna wait till next year though.

I took my oldest son this morning. We saw nothing but rain showers and howling wind. I took my youngest this afternoon. He wasn't patient enough. We jumped several on the way back to the truck, but he didn't get a shot. The wind is still at gale force. Supposed to be worse tomorrow. I do not know how to hunt in wind.

I went, and I got a 7 pointer.

My son isn't old enough yet but I went out to check my trail cameras and a big doe jumped out in front of me. Trail cameras were looking good also. Lots of activity.

We seen a couple does this morning, but my daughter couldn't get a decent shot. They were aweful nervous probably due to the wind. We're not hunting tomorrow due to work, but plan on hitting them hard with muzzleloader.
