I got a new tattoo at say ow tattoo in clinton. It says Semper Fi, and is on my left forum. And it is a tribute to my brothers and sisters in arms and my time in the Marines.

That should be the only tatoo allowed by law and given only to Marines. OK the Navy can have an anchor but that's it. The Air Force Pararescue team can have their "Green Feet" tatoo also.

The heck with that. I've got more tattoos than that one, and even if I hadn't served I'd still want tattoos. Those freedoms are the reason I served.

I am in the habit of telling folks when they talk about tattoos that "I would get one, but I am afraid it would hurt."

You would be amazed how many folks ignore the fact I am covered in them to tell me "No, it only hurts a little..."

Tattoos are addictive. Once you get good ink you're already thinking about the next one. JTMaze & I already have half a dozen planned. I think his next is going to be something like this…

I got a neighbor who was a Marine 50 yrs ago that got his first tattoo the other day. Of course it's a eagle ball globe and anchor.

Congrats on the new ink. I like it. I got a new tat on my wife and I's anniversary, it's an odd one but has a lot of sentiment to it. It's a gangster olive holding a tommy gun. My wife got a devil girl olive. I'll try and post pics when I'm on my computer.

My son was home from the Marines last month. I offered to buy him a tattoo for his birhtday, but he didn't want one. His choice, I guess....but I was a little disappointed.
