Handgun Classes for Women by Women

My wife expressed some interest in a handgun class, but wants women instructors. Does anyone know of a basic class in Middle TN that is women-only and has women instructors?

Handgun Carry permit class

SFWA operates solely on donations, and most students who attend graciously donate so that others may benefit from our "softer side of shooting" approach.

SFWA "softer side of shooting" sensitive classes are in huge demand and fill up to capacity quickly. To assure a seat in the class of your choosing, we are offering "confirmed seats" for those who make an advance donation of only $28 each.

Three (3) days prior to each class, an email with final class roster will be sent. Please print out your copy of the confirmed seat receipt with you to class. It is that simple!

We sincerely wish that everyone who wants to attend our class has a chance to do so at your earliest convenience!

A few notables:

EACH person must register separately, and each person who registers must use a different (unique) email address. In other words, you cannot register two or more people using one email address.

If for any reason you can not attend and have a "confirmed seat", you may email us to attend an alternative class date, or transfer your confirmed seat to another person.

No firearms are allowed during the classroom time and information about the range will be provided during the class.

The RANGE/SHOOTING portion occurs the morning and early afternoon of the day following the classroom session. A sign-up sheet will be circulated during the classroom time and directions provided. If you can't make it that day, alternate range times will be available.

There is a $12 range fee for the range time (payable by cash, debit or credit card at the range), eye and ear protection, and the required target for qualification. A "souvenir" (take home) duplicate target is included!

We encourage ladies NOT to purchase a firearm until after attending the class as students will be exposed to a number of different styles and calibers of firearms which is priceless in firearm selection for concealed carry. Students may use SFWA firearms for qualification at the range at NO CHARGE. Ammunition may be purchased in advance or at the range. Please note that NO reloaded cartridges are allowed.

Your support of Bass Pro Shop for ammunition, firearms and accessories is appreciated!

See you soon!

I bet my wife would be interested too. She doesn't have much experience handeling firearms. Might be a good Christmas gift. Let me know if anything comes together.

My wife this past Sept. took a class at Rockcastle Shooting Center in KY. The class was given by Kay Michuelk - Babes with Bullets. It was three days and included two days of pistol and one day of rifle. My wife loved it and she is pretty new to shooting. We both shoot in IDPA. Check out Babeswithbullets.com

Thanks! I did a quick Google search, and it turns out Kay Miculek live in Shreveport and got a degree from my alma mater La Tech. I spent my first 28 years in La and still have family in her area. I don't know if I'll be able to sell my wife on a 3-day class. She might not want to take the class that badly.
