Did you pick it up locally? And if you don't mind me asking, what did you approx spend?

Just installed a Leupold Mark 4 2.5-8x36 scope on a Larue QD mount, Larue QD foregrip and Atlas QD bipod, if it was zeroed in it would have been the woods tomorrow on a juvenile deer hunt with my son.

This is the exact one you have, right?

It says .308, but you can you still shoot 7.62 out of it?

Just making sure. I'm considering one of these next!

If a gun will handle 308 it will definitely handle 7.62x51. 308 has much higher pressures than 7.62x51. Think of it as 223/5.56 in reverse.

Ahh... Got it!

I was thinking it was like the 223/5.56 situation. :)

Thanks.

Yes that's it...there's numberous dealers getting them now, got mine at G&R Tactical in Ohio
It won't cycle 7.62mm (white box winchester), it short stokes...runs great on match king 308 BTHP's

Very nice gun, I have been wanting one in .308 and have been looking at the Remington R25's in .308 with the VTR barrels. Was just over at Dick's yesterday and they have one, new for $1200 but I think they maybe can be had for less.

Will it cycle any 7.62?
or just not white box winchester?

did yours come with the colt magwell adapter?
I read some guys weren't getting one included. they're sold separately or something.

All I had was white box 7.62, it's under powered big time compaired to the match ammo I use in my 700P.
There are no magwell adapters currently available, the only people who got them were the sample guns sent out before the first run of 100 rifles with letters, last I heard they'll become available after shot next yr but you will need to purchase a 6920 upper to get the adapter, for me I could care less about the adapter its only going to shoot .308.
