Has anybody SBR'd a Yugo M85/M92 PAP?

I've been into these M85 kits, and found I could cut ~$300 off the cost if I convert a PAP to a SBR. I realize the rear of the receiver is slanted so I would need to shim it to make it work. Just curious if I could pick anyone's mind over this idea.

Thanks.

There are a few discussions about these as SBR's on AR15.com and on some of the the AK forums. But no one has had time for the paperwork to come back.

I'll just play the waiting game. I didn't know when these things hit the market, so that was ignorance on my part. I'll just pick one up and see about it.

Thanks.

You can also just file down the rear trunnion or get a new rear trunnion. The slant is only about 1/16th, so it's not that difficult. Then you can drill and tap it for an ace adapter or stock.

I don't know if it's just me, but that seems realllly easy and cheaper, compared to buying and assembling a kit. Thanks.
