Post offices, Social security offices, driver testing stations, etc. Why not ban crying babies or the little kids who run around and make a lot of noise? How about sick people or people with BO or bad breath?

I spoke with a woman who waited four hours at the DMV this afternoon to be waited on. That is a long time to stare at the wall.

The only time I waited that long was when they came up with this bright idea to give the illegal Mexicans a drivers license.

Maybe the wellfare ghetto kids should be banned also. I hate the DMV.

When I went to get my HCP, I was there for 5 hours, because the computers at all DMVs were down.

I just kept thinking "if everyone else leaves I will be first in line" :D

Because cell phones are not necessary.

That's what books are made for. Time spent waiting is time spent reading.

I keep wanting to call ICE and tell them to come by one of the banks in town on any friday evening, and to bring a bus!:mad::mad:

It probably comes from a majority of people lacking common courtesy and respect of others.

Many people would just sit in the middle of the waiting area and have a loud conversation, distracting those trying to do business or take test without regards to how it may affect others.

Most of the places that I've seen that have "banned" cell phones have actually just requested you put them on silent or vibrate and conduct any conversations outside or privately.

Seems reasonable to me.

If only they'd ban their use by drivers of moving cars.

There was an "incident" today on Getwell involving a woman on a cell phone, her vehicle, and a firetruck. I was disgusted to say the least.

My only two 'near-catastrophes' on the motorcycle involved idiots on cell phones. Talking and not looking over their shoulder to change lanes, and the other was text messaging. Could have killed me.

Nobody needs to be that accessible, call them back: they will wait.

I usually just keep my cellphone in my pocket. Concealed means concealed.

Sometimes, I wear it on a lanyard around my neck next to my "Cell Phone Permit" badge.

On the other hand, if I feel that the "No Cell Phone" signs aren't properly posted, I usually call the manager to have some legitimate signs put up. If I can't talk on my cell phone, I don't want anyone else talking on theirs.

Take all of this "love" for the DMV and think about how wonderful socialized medicine is going to be.

This how it starts! Join the NCPA (National Cell Phone Association) and preserve your rights! Do you know without the NCPA that there would be no flip phones because of the Clinton Flip Phone Act (they said it acted to much like a switchblade) or camera phones under the Bush Privacy Act (camera phones could potentially take pictures of government agents) and without the NCPA there would be no Bluetooth technology!

Things to consider in the next election folks! (Make all checks payable to NCPA: care of Punisher84)

Because they are rude as hell when someone is trying to talk to you and you have the annoying bluetooth and have two conversations and the clerk trying to help you while everyone else waits for you to get your crap together and stop being distracting....

I think you should sue them.
